One Author who was greatly influenced by AR was A J Mackinnon, he mentions the S&A's
many times in his book The Unlikely Voyage of Jack de Crow.
An interesting voyage, and an interesting book. There's an informative, though slightly grudging
review here. Did the reviewer have the references to the S&As in mind when he wrote that there
are many many references to English children's literature and other works that are obscure and will
not be familiar ?
Mackinnon is not quite famous enough for my purposes. I suppose I could add Griff Rhys Jones?
