It's your screen and not the browser - Bill Gates (or someones's) name for them is horizontal scroll bar. You say you have the screen set at 640 X 480 - is this an old PC or have you never been shown how to change it and improve your view of the Internet world? Try a higher setting - 800 X 600 or even 1024 X 768.
Now, as for a charity - I would hope not. To me charity is about helping people, animals etc. who need some support to get throught life not about letting a group of enthusiasts for an author save some money!
