A Heron, that brings back memories, the first boat I sailed as a 12 year
old with my 10 year old brother as crew, typical Melbourne weather, 4
seasons in one day, Sunny off shore breeze to start with, Beaumaris
beach a picture, becalmed under the cliffs, onshore gale and hail stones
later.
Even then I couldn't see a way to fit two other children and camping
gear in it, it was only 12 foot long! I think it's main competitor was a
Mirror however, not a cadet. I of course felt the Heron was better as it
had a bow that was not cut off.
