Well, how about that! Another Melburnian! Yes, you're right about the Cadet, she was a bit older. Nice boat, though. But the Heron was actually a bit under 12'. Even smaller, of course, was the Sabot. (My first girlfriend had one of these, and the name was perfect for it.) AND you're right, too, about the Mirror's non-boaty appearance -- I wouldn't ever have had one for just the same reason.
