There is a great deal of resemblence between the children in C. S. Lewis' Narnia series and the Walker family; even to the
name 'Susan'.

I know the Walkers came from a real family. Is it possible Lewis might have modeled his characters on Ransome's? Or is there some earlier family in English literature that might have influenced both of them?

Narnia S&A

Peter John -- responsible, sturdy
Susan Susan -- protective, domestic, wet blanket
Lucy Titty -- solitary, sensitive, imaginative
Edmund Roger -- hungry :-)
