Roger, I can see you point as you know it from the classroom (I can remember being myself and the rest of my class at secondary school being lambasted for laughing at and misusing the term 'spastic', this was in the late 1960s and we all used it as a general term of abuse.)
But have the stage productions of S & A encountered such problems? I know they have changed some aspects to fit the limitations of the stage, but name changing?
I can't imagine that those attracted to see film in the first place are not going to have such reactions.
A second thought has occurred to me after my previous post, if they move the film on in time then if it is a success, as they hope, and film all of the twelve this means the last few will be set during WWII!
