I take it the Death and Glory was a different sort of lifeboat than Dulcibella in Riddle of the Sands. That vessel appears to be quite handy as a sailboat, with the addition (I assume) of a centerboard. Would the Dulcibella have been a more along the lines of a life station boat, and thus rather more useful as a yacht, than a simple lifeboat for ship, which appears to be the D&G's origin?
