Let's start by defining the problem and solutions. Beckfoot may be a composite house on a lake that we know is a composite lake. The location, garden and geography surrounding AR's Beckfoot may not be related to the house that he used for his Beckfoot.

A good example of AR's mixed geography is Holly Howe/Bank Ground Farm. Bank Ground is far bigger than the way we think of Holly Howe. It does not have Friar's Craig next to it, and it doesn't have a well defined bay in front of it either. It also is not next to Rio or Long Island. But it is Holly How, and the Altounyuns stayed there, another supporting fact.

Beckfoot may be similar, both for locations and buildings. I think a good way to discuss this is with two sub headings so that the whole thread doesn't wander too much. So I will start those sub threads next and put some of the things we know in them to hopefully get discussion started.
