The question I raised was : How many servants were there at Beckfoot?
Cook: for sure.
Launch driver: probably the same person who drove Rattletrap and there is mention that he was the son of the policeman.
Maid: there are a couple of suggestions and as you say, she may not have lived in.
Outside man: he would have looked after the lawns and the wood for the fires and for the kitchen range.
Was there anyone else?
The comment that Mrs Blackett lived with her brother is logical as Jim Turner was always disappearing off around the world on some wild goose chase.
The GA seems to have raised both Jim and Mollie, were they orphans and had their parent left the house to both of them?
