We have just finished Secret Water, and wonder if any members would be able to send us a JPG of the OS map of this area, or any pictures of what it is actually like? It seems such a different place to the West coast of Wales where we live.
Have any members caught and eaten eels? As a boy, I used to catch them in Kent using a bag made from old nylons filled with any old rotten fish mess. Hang it by a string from a bridge over night and collect the catch in the morning. A pillow case is useful to trap the beasts, as also is some sand to try and skin them (I spare the details). I never tried to eat one in UK, but smoked eels on the ferries in Holland seem nice, and mostly coem from the East coast of UK.
