I am unashamedly a motel person.(got a hell of a shock when in the UK to find motels almost an unknown species) Years of tenting has made me immune to longdrop toilets with huhu bugs divebombing me in the wee small hours, evaporated(or longlife nowdays) milk, stale bread, cooking over a kerosine stove or worse, a fire(women did it for thousands of years and most of us have moved on thankfully) and all the other so-called pleasures of outdoor living.
Now, all I want is a comfortable bed, a shower that works, a microwave and someone else to do the work. Day trips? Absolutely! Overnighters? Not on your nelly!
