Thanks for you thoughts on the railway lines you might include, Mike. On the basis of "used, seen or might have used" railways you may arrive at the configuration that AR used.
It will be interesting to find out what railways you consider to be germane to the stories.
However, as a cartographer, it is important to omit as much as possible to avoid overcomplicating the maps as you have already demonstrated.
I have marked up the end papers of my own copies of the books, all the stations AR chose not to include and I may put in the closure dates of the stations that have now gone.
However as you say in a later post, things have changed in recent years. Berney Arms is now a "famous" staion and a small group of enthusiasts travel form the midlands to look after it a couple of times a year. The web site also links to the Great Yarnmouth bridges for those interested.
Anyways thanks for the chance to comment on your maps.
