Except that the West Coast Main line electrifiaction happened sometime around this date, and part of this was the abandonment of the junction north of the platform and instead the extension northwards of the platform to create the longer one we have today. Windermere trains after this had to come through the branch platform. What I can't find out is exactly when all this happened, but it must have been c. 1964-65.
