Ian's Hullabaloo music (thank you, Ian) reminded me of an idea I've been pondering:
In that era, would these Hullabaloos also be called the Bright Young Things - having money, spoiled, noisy, uncarrying - not unlike the North American preppies. I base some of my thinking on how they are presented in the Coot Club video. The novels of F. Scott Fitzgerald such as This Side Of Paradise, and Tender Is The Night come to mind.
Or, am I way offside on this?
