Getting back to the original theme to this post, I too am not a great fan of ML or PD, but do enjoy GN - probably because I'm a keen birder.
One bit of a story that I usually skip over is the making and losing of the wax great aunt in SD. The getting lost in the fog part of SD is enjoyable because it's happened to me!
