I must admit to having been a bit surprised by Prue's words. I had
never thought of anything Susan said as "snide", and although she often
tells Titty or Roger off, or forbids them to do something they want
to do, and sometimes acts as a brake on the activities of the older
ones too, I can't think of anything she says that I would describe as a
put-down.
Incidentally Susan does not always even try to maintain safe or proper
behaviour by native/adult standards. Think, for example, of the night
sailing in S&A, or the consumption of all Captain Flint's supplies in
the Fram.
