This thread has so far concerned itself with the technical problems. However, there is a financial issue here. The question of whether TARS funds should be used for the project is a tricky one. If this happened, it would mean that members who are non-sailors (and I admit that that includes me) would in effect be forced to contribute to the building of something which they could not enjoy or even be allowed near. I suggest that an independent 'Swallow Trust' be set up, to which all those interested could contribute (this might well include people who are not TARS members but who support the idea of building a new Swallow).
