Here in Canada it is usual for MPs to send Christmas cards to those constituents whose addresses they have on file. Often they will contain a series of greetings in many of the languages of our immigrant community.

My local MP sent me one with "Happy Holidays" as the English salutation, but the French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and most of the other languages that I could read and translate all, without exception, had the equivalent of "Happy Christmas". I can't say what the Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Urdu etc. said as my knowledge is limited to Roman letters (and a little Greek).

So it is only English speakers who object to Christmas apparently.
