Udal Bridge

I was looking at today's Lakeland Cam, and the river Brathay photos which remind me, at least, of what the Amazon should look like through the meadows above Octopus Lagoon. Digging out Swallowdale, I re-read chapter XXV 'Up River' and was further struck by the description of Udal Bridge.

"a wide arched stone bridge that carried a road"

But hang on a moment! Udal. Do we have a Ransome joke? Yewdale? Is it like this image of Yewdale Bridge?

And am I stupid for never thinking this over the past forty years? :o)
