Well, I have given Mr Randome a severe ticking off for taking the mick, and I have made him read the almost identical series of TarBoard posts on the Beckfoot water system in March of this year (looks like it’s going to come up every 6 months). I told AR that he must not protest about it being ‘irrelevant’, and I pointed out the sentence which still rings round my brain (posted March 14, 2006, UK time 5.17 – I have my own large TarBoard archive):

We're empathising with the folks of Beckfoot - fascinating stuff!

In the same post, I was told that I would hate using a ‘kiwi longdrop’, a statement which is indeed true, and has very much enhanced my understanding of The Picts & the Martyrs - not.

Well, one must go with the flow, so I wonder can anyone help me with the method or methods used at Beckfoot for making toast?
