Incidences of Ransome's usage of the infamous "N-word."

In PETER DUCK:

Chapter 13 - The character, Mogandy, was identified as being "n-word."

Chapter 28 - A bag of pearls was labeled using the "n-word."

Chapter 38 - There was a question as to why that bag had that label,
so it was explained that it meant "Black Pearls."

In BIG SIX:

Chapter 31 - Pete was watching the process of Dick developing the
negatives of the two pushing off "bait" yacht, and because
in the negative, the dark/light attributes are reversed, Pete
made the observation that these two looked like "n-word" because
he was not familiar with the concept of a negative in photography.

The rules have changed over time. Ransome wrote according to what was
commonly acceptable in that time, whereas today such usage is not ok.
